My name is Paul Sawyer and I was, until recently, the Service Development Manager for a Scope project called “Face 2 Face” which involved working with parents and families of children with any kind of disability or additional needs. We provided help and support to these families ourselves and also trained and supported other parents to become “Volunteer Befrienders” to other families.
Previously I worked at Craig y Parc from 2009 until 2014, and held various posts including Resource Co-ordinator and IT Manager, until I left to take up my current post in 2014. During this time, I served on the school’s Governing Body as staff-side representative.
In previous lives I was the County Librarian of Cardiff, worked at the National Museum of Wales and at Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice as a Fundraiser.
I love motorcycles and football as well as family life
I hope in my role as Governor that I can, in particular, develop and enhance the role of parents in supporting, and being part of the life of the school”
