What an incredible day our learners had at the WRU Rugby Disability Six Nations event! 17 of our pupils joined young people from 16 special schools across South Wales for a fun-filled celebration of sport, teamwork and community spirit.
The event brought together learners of all abilities to take part in a series of rugby skills, games, and friendly competitions. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to showcase their talents, challenge themselves, and, of course, for a few to bring out their competitive side!

One of the highlights of the day was the chance to train alongside Welsh international Rio Dyer, who spent time working with learners, offering encouragement, and sharing his passion for the game. For many of our pupils, meeting him was a moment they’ll treasure forever.
And the excitement didn’t stop there…
One of our very own learners even scored a try against Rio Dyer himself! A memory that had the whole group beaming with pride.
Beyond the rugby, the day was filled with laughter, learning, and new friendships. Our pupils mixed with learners from across the region, building confidence and connecting with others through their shared love of sport.

It truly was an unforgettable experience, bursting with energy, teamwork, and smiles all around. A huge thank you to the WRU and everyone involved in making this fantastic event possible. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
